This year’s Destination D23: A Journey Around the Worlds of Disney took place August 29–31, 2025, at the Convention Center of Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, marking the event’s expansion in both scale and scope.
The weekend featured a dazzling lineup of immersive experiences—including Kuzcotopia Night at Typhoon Lagoon, a nostalgic ’80s–’90s Disney celebration concert, premiere screenings of A Goofy Movie, and social gatherings like D23 Nights at Disney Springs and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

Magic Kingdom Updates
Cinderella Castle MakeoverThe iconic castle will revert to its classic look, featuring a color palette of grays, creams, blues, and subtle gold accents—a chic nod to its architectural heritage.
Carousel of Progress – New Audio-Animatronic of Walt Disney
A brand-new Walt Disney figure will be introduced into the attraction’s opening scene, offering fans an emotional and historic upgrade that honors Walt’s creative legacy.
TRON Lightcycle / Run Exclusive Overlay
Starting September 15, 2025, the ride will feature a Tron: Ares-themed overlay, complete with a vibrant red/orange light show and a new soundtrack by Nine Inch Nails, tying in with the film’s release.

Villains-Themed Land at Magic Kingdom
Disney Imagineers shared architectural inspiration for the upcoming Villains-themed land, describing a style dubbed “Conjured Architecture”—a blend of fantastical whimsy with Art Nouveau design influences drawn from recent research trips to Paris and Barcelona.

Ice Age: Boiling Point will hit theaters on February 5, 2027
